NFL Kneels - 200 Players Take A Knee Against Injustice

Why Trump Should Open His Eyes and Ears Towards The NFL

Colin Kaepernick takes a knee protesting against the police brutality by refusing to stand during the national anthem. Causing over 200 other players following up with Colin and his protests. During the national anthem in the NFL games, players take a knee instead of standing to support Colin and his beliefs in fair treatment, equality and social justice. "Colin Kaepernick's goal has always been, and remains, to simply be treated fairly by the league he performed at the highest level for and to return to the football playing field." After reading the title, you might be wondering why I'm saying Trump should 'open his eyes and ears towards the NFL'. The reason why I say this is because America is a large country. Many people are protesting against the unjust equality in their country. Trump should simply open his eyes and ears and listen and see what his citizens are trying to tell him. The public simply wants equality where peace can spread. Trump who is trying to stop these protests is like trying to stop equality from happening. If he does not do so soon, the many people who support and protest with Kaepernick for the same reason will cause great fire and conflict.

These people are protesting so history cannot repeat itself. We've had things like racial inequality in the past, and people are just trying to stop it. Trump needs to understand these people before judging and enforcing actions against the protesters. They just want fairness in their country. Nothing more nothing less. Trump believes in making America great again. He believes that it starts with him but in reality, making America great again starts with the people. Not the President.

  1. I can agree what Colin Kaepernick is trying to do in the NFL and it's a good way to fight for what you're against for. With all these protests over police brutality, Colin is taking action in his hands by kneeling during the national anthem. With this action, some NFL athletes are joining Colin Kaepernick in this protest. Donald Trump is just thinking that this is disrespectful because it's dishonouring "his" country. In addition, he also dislikes this just because they're black and that's racist. I hope Donald Trump realizes that he's making a big deal out of this and that he should let the NFL athletes do what they want to do.

  2. The National Anthem represents pride and honour for a country. I feel that people should salute their National Anthem however they want. I agree with you that Trump should stop and take a look around to see what his country is doing to make things right. There would be chaos if people didn't get their message out, which is what happened in this situation. Maybe if Trump and the others knew what they were doing by kneeling down maybe this situation would be looked over. Colin did the right thing and he influenced many people. I also don't get how Trump states that the only way to salute the anthem is to stand. Their National Anthem doesn't say anything about standing, but the Canadian Anthem does which gives a reason for Canadians to stand. Overall, people who support Trump's words on this issue should stop looking at themselves and look at others and how they're making change because change can influence the world and it can come with many beneficial effects. Especially if it has to do with race and culture.
